My cockatiel just turned 5 months old, he has already started to molt (I think). He came in the shower with me and walked right under the shower head and got drenched, Im guessing he wanted to, but then his head had a bold patch (Pictures below). After he dried the feathers started to cover it up and in the morning Winnie is just really scruffy. Is this normal? (The photos dont really show much)

Tiels are quite thinly feathered under the crest if that is the bald bit you’re taking about.
Looks like there are some new feathers there :)
I love that Winnie showers with you!

Is it ok that he is already molting at 5 months old?

Cockatiels all have a bald spot under their crests. Some bigger than others. And he's around the age where he will probably have a light molt. Also trying to see from your pic, is he a white faced tiel? If so and male, his face will turn white as he molts out his juvenile feathers.
