RE: On the way out the door – Final Retirement

I have been in business since 2002 and have had many changes over the years. A few years ago, I was going to go out of business but then decided to get into the welded stainless steel bird toys for the last 5 years. It’s been fun and challenging to say the least.

At this time, the final date for closure is APRIL 30th, 2024.

I wanted to give you all a heads up on this matter.

Thanks to all who have supported Blu’s Bird Toys over the years.

That bell toy is called "Echo", a great toy for the large Macaws.

Congratulations on a truly well deserved retirement! You have given so many years towards bettering aviculture and the lives of birds in general be it through your breeding program, protecting the captive population of coral-billed pionus in the US, your amazing toys, etc.

I do hope that you will still visit the forum even once you retire! You were among the first members here and your absence would be sorely felt!

So happy for you to be finally able to relax and retire Jan but I will be totally honest and say what a say day your retirement day will be for all bird owners who have discovered just how awesome your toys are!
I know of a few people on Instagram that I sent to your store who will be very sad to see your shop close too, I might give them the heads up too so they can purchase what they want before you close up if that is ok with you.

Thanks again you all! And to think I have a few toy ideas I was going to create, just simple toys but maybe it is not necessary now.

I am most happy though that everyone's birds are enjoying their stainless toys!

I doubt I'll go out of business in the next month or two knowing how things will go. I really do want to deplete some of my stock.

Like I mentioned above, I could still be in biz come end of this year in Dec. and if I am, I won't be back for January 2025.

So I think at this point, no one has to break a leg trying to get their order in a hurry. Depending on how it is by near end, I'll do one final roll call for anyone who wants to place an order. If and when I run out of stainless parts, I may not be able to make them as shown so it could be varied with parts. As I run out of stainless parts I will not be reordering items.

I have a lot of wooden/plastic/natural items as well. I will be bagging those toy part items into larger quantity and try to apply good pricing.
