Bird suffering from ear infection or something else.

Hi all,

One of my lovebirds is suffering from ear infection. Eyes looks ok. Pls suggest medicine. Pls help.

This bird needs medical treatment if at all possible. It seems like there’s discharge from both ear canals which is very concerning.

Definitely agree with what WillowQ said. Ear infections are terribly painful and any infection needs the correct medication as advised by a medical professional, not all antibiotics are the same so you really need to see a vet for your little one to clear up the discharge and infection.

I also worry that your bird could end up with a permanent balance problem. I have met a rabbit who had an untreated ear infection and the rabbit ended up with a permanent head tilt. Birds really need to have good balance.
