FYI I thought this was the rubber toy It's a hard plastic ball with cork plugs and hard wood blocks, for clarification.

I am just like you, c-o-n-s-t-a-n-t-l-y changing the cages and bird room! Never completely happy with it. Do you change out bird toys all the time? I do.

Yes and buy way too many hoping my next bird parcel comes before I am at work Friday or hubby may kill me haha
