i am a New African Grey parent. I have recently been given a male and female (I was caring for them at the previous owners home until January). They have own cages. I would like to give them a bird room for some freedom, and be able to provide them a place to get some un-interuped rest. The female is 32 and is hermonal and has been laying eggs (unfertized of course). I do not want babies. Can i keep this from happening?
The plan is to let them out a few hours a day when i get home from work and then put them to bed at dark. (hopefully).

Any information would be apprecated :)

You can't completely stop eggs. But switching any that are laid for dummy eggs (or boiling and allowing to cool) is a good idea if the two get out of cage time together - just in case.
Not having nests, nooks and other dark spaces can reduce the occurance of eggs.

As of right now she has totally ignored all her eggs. She has not shown any interest in them at all. Thank you for the info. Very much appreciated
