Caiques are known as “Kites” (ไคท์) because, again, mispronunciation. English grammatical structure.
Mustached parakeet, a native species, is called Nok Khaek Tao (นกแขกเต้า) Knaek Tao bird.
Another native species that looks like ringnecks are called Nok Kaew Moung (นกแก้วโม่ง) aka Moung parrot.
