To be honest! I am glad he is getting his toes taken care of (taken off) he will be so much better after wards and I really don't think it will slow him down!

Poor little guy...if worse comes to worse and he loses his toes..remember birds manage remarkably well with disability, especially with a good carer like you.

Poor little guy, that does look so painful!
You know, I'm always amazed how animals, including birds, cope with disabilities!
Not long ago I saw a wild magpie hopping around with one whole foot missing! Didn't slow him down one bit!

I'm sure little Bernhard will adjust once he's had the operation and healed, and with some platform perches and your loving care he'll be just fine!

Im so sorry for what you and bernard are going through but
happy to hear your vet is more intrested in the bird and you than he is in money , theres not many like that round today GOD BLESS HIM he has to be one in a million
