Band?!

We put an ID band on our cockatiel a couple weeks ago and she still eats/preens it. We don’t really know why. The weirdest thing is she does it to our sun conure’s band!!! Anyone know why?!?!

It is a foreign object and does not belong. Like when we walk down the street and step in gum so we drag our foot to scrape it off.

Once you arrive in Germany, if you don´t need the bands, I would remove them and keep them somewhere safe in case you need to travel again or present the birds with the bands on.
