Backyard Birds Enjoying their Breakfast

I feed the wildbirds along with a few squirrels every morning & thought I would share some pictures with everyone. The biggest population of birds that come every morning belongs to the White-Winged Dove. We also fortunate enough to have Blue Jays, Cardinals, Woodpeckers (haven't been able to get a picture of this guy), Black Birds, Sparrows and many others ~

Loved seeing your pictures of your wild birds. I also feed ours and although just invested in a winnowing machine to try and keep the food bills down, cannot bring myself to stop putting out the waste for them until the young have left the nests! How daft is that?

Elsie, there are so many doves, it's unbelievable. I do have other feeders than that one which I'm standing near to take pictures.

Anne, I love to hear the doves "coo" also.....so soothing.

Ann, that's not daft. Have to watch over the young ones too ~

Gary, I love all animals. Can't turn my back on any of them.

Thanks, Lindsay ~ The Blue Jays are my favorite of all. They're pretty spoiled! They sit out & squawk really loud until I bring out their peanuts. And of course, when they squawk, Pico has to squawk back at them. Gets a little loud sometimes ~
