I'm glad she's getting better, I really thought it was to late to fix it with a make up sponge, I thought for sure she'd have to have surgery if that wasn't too late too
but glad to see she's doing better
If I were You, I wouldn't buy from that breeder any more - this shows She doesn't check on the babies while they're in the nest, and she isn't educated about the problems that can occur and what to look for.
so far in the 2 1/2 years I've been breeding I've only had one baby with splayed leg, It was a love bird and the reason was the mom sat too hard on him. But he had other internal problems as well and didn't make it But I did the make up sponge on him as well.
and splayed leg freaks me out so bad every time I take babies out of the nest I think they have it, Then I calm down and realize how young they are and No they don't have it or it was the surface I had them on
You'll notice a lot of times when I post pics of babies I will note on there they don't have splayed legs, because depending on how young they are I take the pictures quickly and they're squirming all around and I don't take the time to Sit them all up nice and neat in a line (I've tried they move to fast lol) so I just get a few pics as Quick as i can and back in the nest they go - I examine them before pics. That way I can get them back to their mom(s)
