Baby cockatiel won’t stop crying

My baby cockatiel won’t stop crying, even after I gave him food. But it’s only when I’m in the room. It’s been for the past two days, idk if it’s because I haven’t been able to give him attention for those 2 days, cuz now I’m able too and he stopped crying after a minute of having him in my shoulder. But why does he cry a lot?

Are you still hand feeding him? Is he weaned?

What food are you giving to the bird?
How long have you had him?

Have you begun to introduce him to hard foods? We gave our chicks access to millet from a young age and they came of formula way earlier than most chicks and we had no problem at all in weaning them. They even began to refuse formula, instead eating hard foods.
I've attached a photo of them at around 4 weeks.
