. Then he would pretend he was gonna get me. We had a fun rough and tumble relationship but neither of us were ever mean with each other. He would step up to anyone even my 6 year old son. He could talk and sing and he loved to investigate every thing. He was a Bolivian B&G and weighted 1345 grams. He hated water and loved food.
He is very loud, hormonal, and aggressive. He will be dancing on your arm one minute, and the next, taking a chunk out of you. He is very jealous if you play with the Harlequin and likes to lunge at your face (he has gotten his mom pretty good on her face before). He will also attack your feet so you always have to wear good shoes when he's out. Then there is our other B&G, Winged Victory who is very outgoing, talkative and a clown putting it nicely! He is extremely smart, keeps himself handsomely preened all the time. He came to us from a spoiled home where one parront spent alot of time with him, but the other parront didn't particularily like parrots at all. We are continuing the spoiled home style!Hi, gosh I read this thread and was going to answer, then must have forgot.
We have 2 B&Gs and 3 GWs. Both of the B&Gs have different personalities, but totally different backgrounds but are close to the same age. One is more quiet and reserved, this is Savanah who is a rehome from a family where she seriously bit nose of the husband so she had to go....

How do the B&Gs compare with your GWs?
Well put.....!
The two I have /had in comparison with all the B&G's have have...GW are big babies!
My B&G's are a mixture....
To me, it is hard to compare...it's like certain taste in apples a Cortland (GW) to a Granny Smith( B&G)![]()
Lol, Oops - I noticed that after my post. I'll shut up, sit back, and give you a chance to finish.. Soz for interrupting!I am putting personality of each with their pics.
They all have their different personalities and if a person was looking for a particular personality, I would say that they might be disappointed because they are all so different. I have read where GWs are more laid back, but ours aren't.

So in summary, I don't think the species drives personality, it's their socialization. I have a loving quiet B&G, and an out going active talkative one and the same with the GWs.Lol, Oops - I noticed that after my post. I'll shut up, sit back, and give you a chance to finish.. Our GWs are larger, all between 1200 - 1300g with our B&Gs weighing between 900 - 1000g which is typical from what I read. How does your flock compare size wise? I have seen some large B&Gs and small GWs but would expect the GWs to generally be larger.
I would say that the B&G are a little bit more fisty where as the GW;s are more layed back..A question for those members that have the pleasure of owning both; how do they compare?
