Attn. Chicago and Milwaukee area folks!!

For those of you who live around the Kenosha area <which to me includes Chicago area and Milwaukee> there is a little "holiday birdie party" at one of my favorite, local, mom and pop birdies shops coming up.

Jo's Birds in Kenosha has their annual Holiday party on Dec. 5th and 6th, from noon to 5 pm. They have a small raffle, a lot of stuff on sale, and is just a fun time.

They are nice folks, and one of the very, very few mom and pop bird places still around.

I'll be going on Sunday the 6th, as I have to work on Saturday.

Just thought I'd give those who may be local a heads up. If anyone is going on Sunday, let me know, I'd love to meet some fellow members.

Aww, Kenosha isn't too far of a drive from me (considering I used to drive down to Mt. Horeb every other weekend and stay in a hotel so I could ride my horse that was in training there). But unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to make it.

I'm in the NW Burb's of Chicago .. but I always drive up to Jo's in Kenosha when I need certain things. I order most of my supplies online, but there's nothing like seeing toys and such up close.

Not to mention .. I really like trying to support the small places .. they are few and far between these days.

Jo and Rich have a fantastic array of toys to choose from! I might be willing to convince Hope to take a trip. I know she needs a new cage for one of her guys and if they're having a sale...hmmmm....well, if we're not knee deep in making toys, it might just be a possibility!

Andrea- I'll pick you up!!! We can car pool You're not that far from me!! If the guys don't want to come along we can definitely take the hike out there together if you'd like! Its an hour and a half drive so a road buddy would be nice.
Let me know if Josh is a no-go. I'm almost SURE Jer isnt going to go because the Bears are playing at noon and tearing him away from the Bears game (no matter how much of a disappointment they are) is like trying to get Super Glue unstuck...
