Are bead maze toys for children OK for small parrots?

I am always looking for enrichment/play activities when she's stuck in the cage, while I work.
I think a bead maze would be fun to climb on & manipulate.
Just worried that it's unsafe.
Any thoughts?

I know that someone uses it for their conure out of the cage. I think it probably is safe but I don't know for sure. @Emma&pico @Shezbug

If the wood beads have a varnish or paint on them I wouldnt.

Do you have a picture of what you're talking about? I have an idea but want to be sure.

My biggest concerns would be paint/varnish as well as the fact that moving pieces introduces a whole other aspect of safety. If toes can get caught, etc.

Sometimes items are not very good for inside the cage where they are being primarily used without supervision.

I think this is what theyre talking about. Im not sure if anyone else makes one with plastic beads instead of wood.
