Daisy (finally transitioned 100% to pellets, yay!) eats every color except for the yellow banana shaped ones. The cockatiels, on the other hand, eat only green and yellow, and leave a bowl full of red and orange. I told my husband we're gonna have to sort a bag of Zupreem into individual colors one night while we're watching TV so everyone can have their favorites......

Milton gets InTune- but still colored pellets. His favorites are the red ones. He refuses to eat the green ones.

One of my red fronted macaw pairs would only eat the orange pellet. It took a while but I got them all switched over to a neutral pellet with a consistent size and shape. These messy beasts still throw it, but there is less waste now.

Pippen doesn't like the yellow moons either, Dobby doesn't eat the orange ones. Of course if we forget to check the food dish eventually it all turns to dust. Dobby will just wait to get out and demand nutri berries, stubborn bugger.

Mine won't eat the green ones. Red and orange go first then yellow. But green ones are "poison " and must not be eaten ever. This is true both for zupreme and Higgins intune.

Walter would rotate. Sometimes leaving the banana shaped, other times the orange or other colors. As soon as you sit down and sort, they will change their minds......because they are birds. They will however have a blast watching you sort them all out..... :laughing6:

I'm guessing you feed the big pellets, I would never willingly sort the extra small pellets that my budgie eats!

Tteok and Isadora both hate the orange ones in the fruit blend, and Isadora throws out the light tan ones from the nut blend :roflmao:

If I recall, one of our very dedicated members (who shall remain nameless unless she wants to reveal herself) has tried each of the colors and found that they are all the same flavor!

I think all of my birds would be thrilled if they made a bag of just the purple ones.

The waste was part of the reason we switched everybirdy to Zupreem Natural.

None of my birds will even touch the nut blend, either color. I haven't tried them on the pasta blend yet.

I used to have a love bird that only ate the red pieces, and at that time my family was breeding conures and cockatiels so id just feed the rest of the food to the other birds.

Several people have mentioned the yellow banana pieces in Amazon reviews. Their birds don't like those pieces, or birds do like those, and eat those first.

Trinity likes the long green ones and the rest gets thrown into the floor

It looks like everyone's birds have a different preference. We need to form some kind of pellet exchange where we can swap colors! :roflmao:

Can we add a poll to this thread so we can see the most popular colors? coloreyes.gif

When I used to feed my tiel zupreem, he would also not touch the banana shaped ones!! he would throw them straight out of the cage.
We would always sing the 'Yes, We Have No Bananas' song to him lol

I almost have everyone converted to the Zupreem Natural now, and they are all the same color, so no more bowls left with whatever color they won't eat!
