Air Fryer Safety

I am thinking of getting an Air Fryer and notice other bird owners have them as well. How far away would be a safe distance to use them with birds? The kitchen is about 20 feet away from the birds cages, the other option is to use it in the laundry room which is downstairs and far enough from them OR is it best to not even risk it?

You absolutely need one that is PTFE and PFOA free. I have the Ninja Foodi Grill and Air Fryer which has a ceramic coating. You also want to use an oil with a high smoke point to prevent smoking. My manual says to avoid Olive Oil, margarine, and butter, specifically.

I don’t have birds in my house, but I use refined veggie oil, which I think has a smoke point of around 450 degrees F, with my Ninja air fryer.

I rarely use oil in the air fryer honestly so it works out okay for me

Any veggies... Butternut squash, asparagus, and cauliflower are my favorites!

Potatoes, my favorite recipe: Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes (with garlic and herbs) - A Pinch of Healthy

Literally anything frozen is good in it haha.

Shrimp is good!

Which brand did you get? I´m looking at the Ninja brand, just checking out if it´s safe or not.

Thanks Shez I´ve just come across everyones links and it looks like you all have the same, the foodi grill. I don´t think I would need the grill function? It´s not the same as the machine here, this one is like a drawer, so I´m wondering if the coating is the same (safe), I would think so... I´m still digging around reading lol. If I have to get that foodi one, I would, just to know it is safe.

I think @Love My Zons has another of the Ninjas. My understanding is all of the Ninja air fryers are safe.

I’m going to add in here, if you eat meat it does chicken legs amazing! Like deep fry with out all the oil!

lol Shawna and Cat, we all posted at the same time!
I don´t eat much meat. I am a potato lover, and love roasted veggies. Was thinking the fryer could be good for fritanga, oven chips, veggies etc. My partner does eat meat and I could cook small portions in this without heating the whole oven.
