Hello, sorry to bother You.
I have an agaporni with one year and two months old. I would like to know why she sometimes she whines. I'm not sure if it's because she wants attention, if she has a health problem, (I doubt this one, even so I will reduce sunflower seeds, she feels happy much time when I play and I preen her), if she misses something, or if it's related to me removing her box where she used to sleep every day. I was told it was a good idea to prevent hormonal behavior, after 5 days I gave to her the cage again. But sometimes she starts whining. Clues: This week, I was at my girlfriend's house where she has other budgies. Time to time I go there and I go with my bird. My agaporni gets along with all of them except for two, but nothing problematic. Usually, we let them fly freely, she never whines there. Two weeks ago, I introduced my agaporni to another agaporni that belongs to my sister-in-law, who has issues with interaction and trust ( purchased from a pet store you know) . I use my agaporni as an example to help the other one gain confidence and interact more with the elements of my sister-in-law's home without fear win rewards and so on...
Could she be feeling lonely? Is it possible that three hours a day of socialization isn't enough? Is it related to the box? Or am I causing her stress by sometimes traveling with her.. Need advice.
Thank you.
