Urgent African Grey kidney disease

I brought my African Grey for a complete physical in January 2023 and everything was fine . Yesterday I brought him in to get his nails trimmed and blood work done again .Today my vet called and said my grey has kidney disease and he will need liquid medication every 12 hrs
I’m starting it today I’m heart broken my bird is 19 years old and my best friend
Anyone that can help it will be much appreciated. The vet mentioned the blood work will need to be re taken in three months I am searching for information on this and found this site . I’m waiting for my Vet to cal back to speak with him personally

It's great you had routine blood work and cought issues early. It's better to know and treat.
