After sun baking the other day I saw this little fellow lying in the sun next to me. He freaked me out a bit :eek: but at least we both got to enjoy the warmth :lol:

Yes I think he is a skink or drop tail we sometimes call them!! He scared me at first but then I realized he just wanted to enjoy the sunshine with me as long as he kept his distance and didn't touch me then everything would be fine :lol:

Yes, a skink...really cool. They probably call them 'drop tails' because that's what they do if you try to grab them too fast.

Awww, he's so cute! :hug8: I have them here too sometimes. For some reason I love them! :heart:
I don't usually like creepy crawlers but if I find one of them in a perilous position (e.g. a spot I'm going to mow or something) I don't even have a problem picking him up and taking him to safety!
