A visitor while I was sun baking!!

After sun baking the other day I saw this little fellow lying in the sun next to me. He freaked me out a bit but at least we both got to enjoy the warmth

We have lots of them at the moment! They sit on our balcony for ages in the sun.

Yes I think he is a skink or drop tail we sometimes call them!! He scared me at first but then I realized he just wanted to enjoy the sunshine with me as long as he kept his distance and didn't touch me then everything would be fine

Yes, a skink...really cool. They probably call them 'drop tails' because that's what they do if you try to grab them too fast.

Awwww! He's so cute! We have lots of skinks here...blue tailed skinks are the most common. He must have really liked you!

I don't think I've ever met a skink...but I love visiting FL and having all the anoles come bake in the sun with me

Awww, he's so cute! I have them here too sometimes. For some reason I love them!
I don't usually like creepy crawlers but if I find one of them in a perilous position (e.g. a spot I'm going to mow or something) I don't even have a problem picking him up and taking him to safety!
