Sorry my birds were just screeching in my ear when I thought up a title.
My husband and I have 8 kids (real people not animal kids) and we are all animal lovers, I home school and love to travel. We have my bird Zorro-a Jenday Conure whom is my crazy sweetie, 3 new lovies, 2 parakeets-story later...and 2 finch, not to mention 3 ferrets, a turtle, and a chinchilla (an abused one we will try to find a home for when he is better).
I am here to get help changing over my birds from junkfood to healthy food. they are all very young-all prob under 2 1/2 years. I would love ideas on new toys and making my own, and breeding my lovies (not bent on it, but we tried to breed our goulds and they killed the babies both times then we found out about societies and much to my chagrin we lost 6 of our finch to pink eye. It was a horrible day in the cynth house.)
We got 4 parakeets and somehow ended up with 2 blue and one yellow and one green. we brought them home and the yellow one proceeded to go through a sad death and the green one dropped dead from a tumor within a month so now we are stuck with two male blue parakeets. lol....lesson learned-never buy from an unreputable dealer. We bought from her partner and the birds were good. sad.
So here I am hoping to learn lots.
