Hi,
We have a 5 month old cockatiel, he is wonderful, we have had him since just before Christmas. However, recently he has started to become extra vocal and just wants to be out of his cage all the time. We are trying to ignore him for some periods so as to not reward the behavior by always getting him out, but we are unsure what else to do. Any advice is greatly appreciated! "He has plenty of out of cage time with all family members"

Sometimes there can be increse vocals in to small a cage, or because cage isn't placed in the best spot to be part if everything sbd observe and also hsve a bsck against a wall and nit be near a door.

Butdsxare flock creatures and it normal for thrm to want to be out with you. Cages should be for sleep and safty, and out as much as possible.

Flock calls sbd check in calls should be answered with all using sane phrase or whistle. Alarm calls should be checked out sbd assurance given. If known Squawking triggers , or times if day try to prevent them getting stsrted. Hapoy vocals and chatter are nirmsl part if parrot life.

Im a busy multiple person household. It's important for all to let the burd know when yiu are leaving the house and to go check in as soon as yiu returns home. Some parrots get very frustrated when they but kerp track of their family
