I just picked up 2 Bourke that a lady had and did not want any more. They will be 4 on Sept 1st. She thinks that they are 2 girls, I have them in the backroom for their isolation period. They are eating and seem to be settling in

I kind of think that 1 is a male. It's larger than the other one and has a blue line above it's nostrils

Yes, they look to be male and female! Male is obvious as he has more coloration on his stomach and wings. I can't see the female as well, but her wings just appear duller. Sad to see she's been clipped. :(

I know Monica, sometimes I just don't understand why people do what they do, she told me that she was an escape artist maybe that is why she clipped her . I know the pictures aren't that good all this rain were having in Toledo for Pete's sake I think we became Washington state.:laughing6:

I have looked and looked for months, everyone has the rosy and Rubio which are very nice birds but I just love the normal color I think they are gorgeous.

It's great at least they landed in a good home! :) Wings should grow out anywhere from a few weeks to a year, plus... depending on when she was clipped as compared to her molt cycle...

They're so cute! As Monica said, it depends on the molt cycle. I will say I was horrified at Elvis's wing clip when I got him and was actually pretty amazed at how quickly they grew in. So hopefully the same happens with yours.

I hope her wings grow in pretty fast I have them in a flight cage and the Male is flying around, while she looks so sad that she can't

Awe :) Congratulations on bringing these little ones home. I hope they adjust well to their new life! A life where they get to be birds :starshower1:
