missing toe nails

A few days ago I checked on my bird and noticed blood in its cage and found that most of its nail on 2 toes (same foot) are almost completely gone and I had quick stop for the bleeding but now I’m not quite sure what to do. I picked up a 6 month old budgie tonight and getting her home, I am seeing she is not looking as good as I thought. Her eyes are bright and her color is good, but I should really have held her myself to get a better look at her. I am kicking myself right now :/ She is missing some toe nails...
