Hit the Road
Ziggy is my first foster through Phoenix Landing! I'm so happy ad excited to have him here 
. He is a 22 year old Yellow Naped Amazon. He seemed to be settling in great until I put him in a bigger cage - his was WAY to small. I know it's all new to him so I'm just sitting with him and talking to him. He was talking and whistling earlier which my 9 month old son loved! Ziggy was talking to Dylan and Dylan was laughing so hard...it was so adorable!
Apparently Ziggy was bonded with the son of the family and the son was going to college and Ziggy wouldn't be getting any attention. The daughter dropped Ziggy off and said he had been in the garage with the dogs :-(. He wasn't in anyway abused or neglected but I don't think they really understood what Ziggy needed. He's on a diet if Kaytee seed so once he settles in, we are going to work on that. I offered him bird bread today and he ate a little o it so that's a good sign!
