My conure got caught in a closing door about half an hour ago, he did fly back to his cage after it happened, he seems fine but one of his eyes is closed, he is a little more docile than usual and I can feel a small gash on his head above the closed eye,
he ate a decent bit of apple on his own and
He is taking a nap now with his head in his wing,
He is only 2 months old, I think he is a bit better now but im still worried.

What is the best thing to do?

Same thing here three weeks ago. I sent a video to my vet and pictures of the head scrape and based on his behavior in the video she assured me he would be fine. Very lucky your bird and mine didn’t get killed. Do you have a vet?

How is your conure doing now? If you have concerns and since there is a gash on his head it's a good idea to contact the vet.

I don't have a vet clinic but I have a freind who medically cares for birds, he said all should be good over the phone but I'm bringing him there tomorrow.

If you see blood your bird is open to infection.
