I would like to nominate @2macshanfor Avian Ave. Spotlight Award. Her devotion to macaws has struck my heart. First Petri then Lenny. Petri who was locked in his cage for least 5 years. In his rescue he was so frighten, swaying and screaming in fear. But yet within days he is interacting with 2macshan and her hubby, he was looking for some one to love him. He soon was stepping up and allowing scritches, and just being a macaw. It was just finding him the proper home, a good vet visit and some body to love him. Our Beloved @aooratrix, Matthew, adopt Petri. After a great vet visit with Dr. Sakas @ Niles Clinic. Petri moved from WI to OH. And is in the macaw happy place.
Then poor Lenny, who’s beak was so over grown that she could not even preen her own feathers, who’s talons were just as badly overgrown. After a few worried hours @Macawnutz finds a friend of hers (Brian) to take Lenny on, get her the proper care. Lenny now has her life back, being normal macaw like she always should have been.
So as you have read @2macshan deserves the Avian Ave Spotlight Award for her devotion, loving, caring heart. Without her, 2 beautiful B/G macaws would have been forever imprisoned and never known the love they deserve.​

Aw thanks guys! I LOVE all animals and will *properly* save as many as I can. I am so thankful to everyone here for helping me save those two. There are so many people out there and forums etc. who will talk all day about "how" to save animals, but only a select few can actually step up and "DO" it. I am so happy to have found other can-do people to help me get things done and save those beautiful birds.
I still miss Petey, but my blue and gold Kai now mimics his call, so he is still here will us a well
