Hi everyone, about two months ago I got a lovebird and found out it had pbfd, since then I’ve been trying the best I can to make her feel better. At first her energy level was very low but now she’s a lot more active and has started to do some new things and I don’t know whether to be concerned or not. She has started to wing flap in place while chirping, and she has also started to chirp and walk around the house nonstop chirping as if she calling calling another bird maybe. Is that normal?

I am very sorry to hear that. Do you have any other birds? I am asking as although this is not a zoonotic disease, it is highly contagious, and can live in the environment (your house) for years and infect other birds even years later.

She’s my only bird, which is why I was confused as to who she is chirping at.
