Pictures Will a week away affect training?

I adopted a five week old parrotlet yesterday who is somewhat fearful. So far I had to grab her briefly after she flew away at the vet (she definitely remembers this...) and today and tomorrow I will be lying by her cage speaking.
My mother will be visiting for a week after tomorrow so I will not have time to tame her while she is staying with me. Will she likely regress at all, or will I lose my youngness-inspired taming opportunity?

I would still try to sneak in a bit of time throughout the day to spend with her. Surely you will have at least 15-20 minutes several times a day to interact with her while your mom is visiting? Your bird is going to get lonely, and like you said, you don't want your relationship to suffer.
