I just came upon these posts from a researcher/conservationalist in the Congo in Africa and I know they are a bit dated. However, they are none the less shocking. Some of the pictures of the captured Greys make me cry. They are so terrified.

The US & EU no longer import parrots, so we must work to end trade and capture in other countries.

I have seen these before and vids of actual capture of greys. It is very sad. You can actually see bruising around their eyes from being held and marked. If only other countries would make it illegal to export and import wild parrots as the U.S. has. Soon the jungles will be quiet if this continues.
