First off, I am in no rush to wean my baby...just curious!
Miss Moira is now 20 weeks old and takes one afternoon hand-feeding a day. When I say takes, I mean TAKES. As soon as I arrive home from work, she is chirping loudly and climbing all over her cage. I prepare the formula and as she hears me stirring it up she can't contain her excitement! She cracks me up! She generally does not take a lot...maybe 15-20 ml...but what she does take, she does with vigor. When she stops, she stops and walks away.
She eats her daily veggies, loves berries, millet, seed mix and seems to like Intune pellets. There is always food available to her in her cage. I have seen her drink from her water bottle so I do not think she is thirsty.
So...I'm assuming this a comfort thing...and I don't mind! I am just curious how long is hand-feeding considered normal?
