What can i use to make Little Scooter a comfy night time bed

in the carrier?

no paper towels, he makes rope out of it and almost cut off the circulation in his uninjured foot.
Layers of fabric he may crawl under and suffocate.

so what to use?

right now he sleeps on unprinted newsprint...not at all soft.

All his life has slept in a tube bed

you could redo the string at the top so there was nothing hanging down

Loofa had a basket with a little pillow in it that I found at the dollar store or he'd cuddle up to a stuffed animal. These were all when he had a brace.

Sugar loves her happy hut too much and the boys sleep either on their warm perch or their flagstone perch

the coonie booties are too big and the squirrels would reduce it to threads in less than a day

i have used the round beds and the tents in the carriers and i hang them from the side windows this works well

I saw adorable little ferret beds (look like mini cat beds) in petco or petsmart. no hangers on them and I think they held their shape-no memory blah.

Can you make a little bed out of fabric and rice? Kind of like a bean bag chair? You could use 2 layers of fleece.

I was just going to suggest buying a pillow case for a baby's size pillow, and filling it with some soft material.

A small pillow case would be easy to wash, and he wouldn't have access to whatever you choose to stuff it with.

I think that is more than a little harsh - accidents happen and that is what this is - an accident - we all have learned from it and Scootie will be ok, he is a tough little man

rest assured i don't think these harsh thoughts about others when such mishaps befall them....
i am my own worst critic

What have i learned gg? I have just upped the vigilance at the moment. When LScoot takes wing again I'll study the dynamic and adapt.
