ALOHA!! I am alive still, been just very busy the past weeks

Made excellent progress with my lovely pea, and yesterday when i got home very late in the evening, it took me half an hour to get Luka to be silent again now that most feathers have grown back, we started doing some flight training, and earlier today Luka decided to fly up to my shoulder all by herself!! Im such a proud parront

Also, last night i took the plunge and went ahead with my plane!
I had natural wood for in the cage, but Luka really was afraid for everything that wasnt fabrik made
So last night i removed the standard perch, only leaving in the natural ones (which are better for their claws and all) AND BEHOLD!! After screaming for an hour, she gently sat down on the perch when i turned off the lights!

Sometimes you need to give them a nudge i guess, like with babies!

The minute i let Luka step out of his travel cage, he hops into the kitchen (with my mom a few steps behind) for some fruits or nuts! Disaster!!

Because you have a parrot. They are obsessed with ears, I believe that they think that they looks funny and see them as a talking toy. (you screaming when they bite to hard, Lol! )

Salty does the beak in the ear thing when he wants a scratchie. Salty does the bite on the ear thing ( lightly) when he wants to play rough. I learned pretty darn quick.

I dont see Luka biting me, only did so when we had to cut nails, and even then she didnt bite hard!
I suppose im spoiled for having such an easy Amazon as my first large parrot

Lucy sitting on my shoulder, probably wondering why Im laughing at her. My poor green chicken has been trying to learn to whistle the last few months and it is pitiful sounding
She can talk up a storm and sings great, but when it comes to whistling shes terrible at it. To be fair we dont whistle to her very often, but I start the first part of the adams family
theme by whistling and she finishes the rest of it, but now she wants to whistle the first part of it and it barely resembles a whistle. She usually laughs when we start laughing at it, but
tonight she just stopped and gave that look like she knew we were laughing at her and not with her.
