Thank you everyone, I appreciate your kind words.. however, everything has just been turned upside down. :sad2:

It looks like she might have PBFD, I am not 100% sure, but I am taking her to the vet hopefully tomorrow. She is lacking powder down feathers above the top of her tail and on her back too. If she does.. I am in some serious trouble, I am a total mess right now.

As I am sitting here reading this I keep thinking of the work 'quarantine' and see no mention of it anywhere. This is why it is so important for people to take precautions, not expose your birds to others until they have been kept away from the rest of a flock for 60 days. If they are carrying something, it will usually show up by that time. I see so many people take their birds to a vet and get the blood work down and think once the blood work comes back, you can let them join the rest of your birds. This is not correct. They can still be carrying something that does not show up in the blood work. Period.

I hope for your sake this bird is not carrying PBFD

Yeah, she is being quarantined, she has been moved back into the dining room (she was in my mums room still away from the other birds) which is at the other end of the house. Thanks, I will. :hug8:

I think you are a wonderful person for taking in birds and giving them a great life apposed to what they had before. if it wasnt for people like you in the world it would be a cruel place, i also have a suggestion maybe taking her to the vet to see if she is healthy and not sick and can spread something to other birds. i hope she rehabilitates w ell. she is so pretty and looks like a sweet bird with those soulful eyes. i hope she adjusts to a new diet and gets to live out the remainder of her life in a happy place with you guys. :D birds are such a blessing. good luck and please keep us posted.

She's beautiful, she looks like a whiteface lutino - photo-gallery-whiteface2 I find it so sad when when birds are dumped but at least this one was helped (and apparently is already loved which is great!). :D :dance4:
