A couple of days ago, my dad and I went walking at Plum Creek Nature center. They have several trails, and it's a gorgeous place far from the city. We saw lots of cool bugs, heard some interesting bird calls, saw some fish, a snake (on the edge of the water) and a snail, along with loads of cool plants. So I took some pictures- I'm hoping to go back soon, once it cools down (heat index is like 105!).

In the nature center itself, they had an active beehive with a little tube so they can go outside if they want! The bee with a yellow dot on her back is the queen!

(Resident beardie)

(They raise caterpillars as well and provide a safe spot for them to become butterflies!

(Weird leggy boy! There were lots of these guys all over the trail.)
