I made this short video about how to make 2 super simple foraging toys back in December. I was bird sitting a red belly parrot who was in the foster system with Phoenix Landing at the time. (I'm a volunteer with Phoenix Landing, too.) Red, the foster bird, was learning to play with toys. So, we were trying to get him interested in toys by using materials he could shred easily, and by making them foraging toys with high value (to him) food rewards inside.
A lot of birds on this forum are far beyond such simple toys, I realize. But, every now and then someone may ask for a video for some simple to make, beginning foraging toys. I find these to work great. (My guys still love anything in a 3 oz Dixie Cup.)
