Has anyone ever used a tension rod as a perch? I've been wanting to put up a perch in a place in my apartment, but I don't want to bolt it to the wall. I can't remember where I read about someone using a tension road for this purpose. I would use vet wrap to give it grip. My biggest concern is making sure the materials are safe.

Love that! Do you know what it's made of?
It's a powder coated aluminum pole.

If you wrap it in vet wrap and supervise them chewing the wrap you should be fine.
