Good Morning Bird People!

Just a quick question...TD's urine has turned yellow. I've read up on the subject and about yellow urine indicating fatty liver disease.

However, could that be the case at TD's young age? I will say that most of TD's food is yellowish in color... fruity pellets, veggies like broccoli and carrots, some seeds. I'm worried to say the least... especially considering TD's bad start in life.

Also, I would love to hear what some of your tiels really LOVE as a treat to use for training? As I'm a full time RV'er who often boondocks, a treat that doesn't need to be frozen and is easy to store would be great. I'd appreciate any and all suggestions!

Thanks everyone!

I'd sure take him in for tests - a CBC and a chem Panel. I would certainly take him off the fruity pellets as soon as possible. They have dyes in them and much more sugar than other pellets. I recommend Roudybush or Harrisons. I recommend pine nuts as a treat.

Yellow in. Yellow out. Cut out the coloured pellets and check again. Zupreem makes a natural pellet without the colours.

I use a little millet berry for training three of my tiels, for the fourth I use safflower seeds.
