:hug8:and I will be thinking of you and Cochise today.

We tested Rowdy once due to the inability to perch/weakness in her feet. We tested Merlin for it due to seizures but decided then that was from the AVB. I can't be of any more help than that, sorry:(

I don't think she meant tick .. as in the bug kind, I think she meant tic .. as in a nervous tic/switch type.

I too, would be curious to know what would be causing it. You've had him for a while now, and I know you're very careful about what you give your birds.

Sorry Carole. It's just that even though we all speak English some things are spelt differently and/or referred to with a different word or phrase depending upon which continent we reside. I would normally refer to a tic as a twitch. I'll edit the post. :o:

I hate to say it but have them check AVB. Those symptoms are similar to Mojo's only his are much more advanced.

Please don't be upset with me for suggesting it, I am just stating my experience.

Folly had a wing flip going about every 2 minutes. She also was vomiting everything she ate. She never plucked. I think she made the recovery she did because we got her to vet within a day or two of her ingesting the metal. It showed up in her xray in her stomach and gizzard and whatever the vet did flushed it through her system and they xrayed her poo and it showed up in there. Can you give Chochise some peanut butter to bind it?

Thanks Ginger. Not sure if he would eat it...maybe. What does that do? I read about cilantro helping too.

It binds to the metal and helps it pass through the body. It's very important for you to try and figure out what the metal is. Where has he been? What could he have ingested? We found the place on the mirror (the edge) where Folly chewed off the lead backing.

The cage he used to have, that Yuna now has would be my suspect.:(

The best diagnostic tool was the xray. If he has metal poisoning it will show up in his body because the sickness is caused by the gizzard breaking it down and releasing it into the blood stream.
