November? Gosh that's a long while ago. I hope it works out but try not to get your heart broken.
Its hard not to get attached even when we have not met them.

I've been searching so long for a darling little Poi to call my own and just recently I've come across a precious Sennie in Kansas City.
Her name is Abby! If all goes well, I may be able to take her home in a month or two...

So cute!!! Fingers crossed everything works out for you. Good Luck.
:goodluck:

Would this be instead of the Red-bellied parrot?

I wouldn't recommend one over the other, I have both and they are both great.

Good luck!

Yes, it would be! The red bellied that was going to be rehomed was already adopted, unfortunately. I hope things work out too. Thanks.

November was a long while ago, yeah. That's why I was a little hesitant to contact them.
Their website still has her up as adoptable but we'll see if that's true when they email me back. : )

The Sennie has been adopted and, unfortunately, the bird rescue she is from usually doesn't adopt out of state.

I am glad she has a home but disheartened by the bad luck I've been having with rescues so far!

Well it would be nice if they took down the ad for her adoption & list there requirements on the site.

From what I've heard & read it may be easier to adopt a child than a bird...but they are trying hard to place the bird in situations that will work out the best.

Most want to do home checks & will not adopt out of certain local area.
Some will make you take classes. They might not want you to have other pets & if you never had a bird they might only allow you to adopt a budgie or tiel.

Sorry but pois in shelters are also not that common.

Keep checking craigslist but pois there are also not very common.
You might also check out breeders.

Good Luck...I know how hard it can be as I went through a few of these but I finally found my Rio.

I know that your bird is out there waiting for you...just keep trekking on & find them!

I'm sorry it didn't work out. Ask if they can keep you on a call list if they get another bird. Keep checking with them. Call several in your area and let them know you are interested. Then go visit with the bird as soon as it is off of the mandatory hold period. The first one may not be your bird, but the right bird will pick you!
