OH that is great! I am so happy for you and him! Now make sure he does not stay outside when no one is home...much safer that way! Again, so thrilled for you!

no he wasn't wearing his collar...we had just givin him a buzz cut and when we buzz the boys down we always take the collars off and wash them and give the dogs all baths..the collars were still hanging up drying...but i am elated he is back! i just have to start my million kajillion calls to notify people he is back and they can call off the search

Yeah they replaced they're whole yard (except one strech) with 4' high chain link and there is the one stretch (that they share with neighbors) that is only 3' 6" high (he jumps right over it). APPARENTLY my friend has caught him out of the fence before and just never told me about it until today so we didn't realize it was a problem until now...

Im so glad he is back. Time to find an immediate solution to the fence issue. Until then, no unsupervised yard time, even if he is on a chain/rope. Better safe than sorry right?

This morning, I found a Husky and a German Shep X on my front porch, just waiting.....LOL The VERY SAME pair my husband drug out of the streets YESTERDAY and returned to the owner on the tag hours later. Apparently, they are fence hoppers, and get out frequently! It was everything I could do not to call the City this time, instead of the owner. She would be fined and possibly loose her dogs for being so •••• careless. How could you allow that to continue to happen time after time? Do her beautiful puppys have to be scraped off the street before she takes it seriously??? Enraged me!

Anyhow, I know your a much more responsible pet owner than her, and you'll find a solution to this, and I am so relieved Kota made it home without incident.

nope it's apparently only when we are gone (leave in our vehicles) that he takes off, seeing as when we are home he hardly leaves our side for anything longer than to go to the bathroom. lol So he will be crated when we leave from now on. He's far too special to me for me to be that careless...honestly, I think I'd give her one more chance and then call the city...sometimes it takes a bit to figure out HOW they are getting out much less how to fix it! But if they show up one more time since you said they do it frequently they might be better off somewhere else where someone cares if they play in the street or not.
