Turkey Vulture

I was driving home today and saw this awesome, huge Turkey Vulture eating a possum on the side of the road. I rushed home to get my camera and when I got back he was just getting spooked and flew off. I did manage to get a couple of pictures of him though.

They are actually quite beautiful, theyre heads are covered in a fuzz that feels like velvet.

I love VULTURES! I was camping in Indiana last summer and got to see a whole flock of Vultures in a pine tree- I think they were eyeing my shih-tzu! LOL Awesome birds!
