I am so sorry for your loss. Birds have such sweet, special souls. One of my heart birds was a cockatiel named Olive, and she passed. I fought as much as I could to keep her alive. That was the first time I really grieved for an animal, because she was just so special. I'm sending strength to you in this difficult time.

Awwwwhhh...I just saw the sad update...So sorry.
You tried so hard & did everything & the vets never came through for you.
I get angry as I am dealing w Drs & my health & they just sit back & ignore me. Can't even get an appointment yet.
Did the vet ever call you back?

I wonder what it was & do so hope its nothing contagious.

I did have a long talk with her yesterday, which helped because now I understand more. They did not want to do further testing because he'd lost so much weight and it is traumatic for the little ones to undergo all that. Now she is thinking it might have been psittacosis (!!!!!) so we took the body in and they will do a necropsy. Hopefully the others will be ok. Hubby moved Tully's cage outside for cleaning and is in there bleaching the others right now. We are keeping papers on top of the grates so we can monitor poops better and changing them 1-2 times a day.

I also have to talk to my own doctor, as I had the crud for several weeks and 2 rounds of antibiotics ended yesterday and I still feel flu-ish.
