So even though my birds get several hours straight every day oustide their cage they do also get several hours everyday in their cages so i always find new toys and things to keep them busy.:shrug3:

This is actually a rodent hideout that i kinda transformed into a cave/toy/foraging station, they like to shred it to pieces and i hide food and toys every day inside the cage and in the walls of it ! they LOVE it !:cool6::dancing::dancing:

i think this could last a few weeks if i keep it full of goodies !

What a neat idea! That might work as a toy for larger birds. Just cut through the bottom of each hole so they can't get stuck, then stuff it with paper, etc for them to shred. :) I think I'll make one for Buzzard! Thank you.

And Valkyrie looks like he's pouting. So cute! :joyful:

Nesting issues if female? Love the texture of it! Haven’t seen this here.

As long as it doesn't increase hormonal activity I think it's a neat idea.

yeah don't worry about getting stuck the holes are wider than them im lucky but i would love to see it with larger birds !:joyful::joyful:, as for filling it with brunch of nice foraging stuff i actually do and she does love it :) if you can make or find one for yours please show pictures

um why nesting issues ? she just brakes it appart and let everything drop to the ground, Valkyrie is not interested because he is afraid of touching it :laughin: the texture is hay it's actually a mixture of different hays you can find it in the rodent/rabbit section im sure maybe online ?

If they could then some of my birds, yes, might climb inside and get super hormonal. I'm not sure that's limited to just females either as Pete has gone looking for boxes and cupboards as well. If they are just tearing it up then it's a great foraging idea for them :)
