I am wanting to make perches with branches I find from our huge trees.
They aren’t treated.
We moved here, so we didn’t plant them.
I don’t know what to use to identify them.
Anybody know what to do?
Answers really appreciated:D

Take pics and post here. I want pics of the hole tree, and the leaf.
What country do you live in?

I live in western US, most leaves are gone, and it started snowing about a hour ago. But here you go!
I don’t know if that helped:bored:

I cut small branches from all our trees and took them into the local nursery. They really know their stuff!

How big are the leaves? Kentucky coffee beans are supposed to have huge leaves!
Regardless, because of that pod, I'm sure it's a legume of some sort and there aren't all that many legumous trees found in the US. I would be cautious until you ID the tree for certain; some are perfectly safe, but others, like locust trees, can be toxic.

Is it a Kentucky Coffee Bean? The seeds and pods look like this
They won’t have fruit like that, they have they really capsule with small fuzzy seeds on the stems.

That’s a great idea. But because it’s winter all the nursery’s are closed:(

Oh I was confused, I thought the pod was from the tree we were trying to id. The pod was throwing me off since legumes have pods like that but the leaf didn't look right!

The leaf looks like a typical willow leaf. They have small fuzzy seeds, too. Willows are safe wood. But I would compare your tree's seeds to some photos of willow seeds to be sure.

That actually looks right! I searched up a willow tree and it looks just like it. I always thought the only willows were the droopy ones lol:roflmao:
Thanks sooo much!
