Had to put my dachshund toby to sleep today. It was unexpected and im heartbroken. He was my big lug happy go lucky boy.a good dog just dosent cover it. I know he's not one of the aa birds...but he's my furbaby and i will miss him so much.

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that Carmen. That is such a difficult decision to make even when you know it is better for your furbaby or fid.

Sorry...hard part of pet ownership as they become such good friends and are missed dearly.
I am very sorry for your loss. I had to do the same 20 years ago. The pain just surfaced like it was yesterday. Toby was very handsome. I am here for you if you want to talk.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I had a dachshund growing up and know how special they are.
When its not so fresh ill explain what happened. Right now im just snuggling with 3 dirty dachsunds and trying to fall asleep, maybe if I'm asleep i can stop crying and shaking. Still missing lil Levi too

So sorry for your loss of Toby. It is so hard losing them, I went thru that in December, broke my heart. I see you have 2 other daushunds to, they will help you heal your pain, I am sure they are grieving to.

I have 3 dachs here
They will help. Already are in a way. We let them say goodbye before we burried him. Not sure if they understood but ruby licked his head and nudged him like she always had. He was her buddy. They would pal around together and cuddle and he wanst much of a cuddly type. He was a face licker tho. Before the sleeping med took him all the way out he was licking the tears off my face. He left a big paw print on our hearts,
