About once a week, I make a fresh veggie salad that I keep in the fridge and for my parrots' breakfast, I mix it with defrosted Avian Organics mash and sprouted grains/legumes.

First I grab the produce.. (fresh kale and beet greens from my backyard :) )

Put it through the food processor with the addition of: paprika, chili powder, cumin, cinnamon, ground flax seeds, sesame seeds, a squeeze of lemon juice
All ready to be ziplocked and refrigerated!

Mix a scoop with mash and sprouts. Now ready to serve!:dance4:

You know - I was just thinking it's time to make more "mash"/"chop" here - we are almost through our last batch. I'm going to try doing this instead of mixing in the veggies/fruits before I freeze. Seems a good compromise between fresh and frozen. And surely it's more nutritious AND delicious!

Cool that you have access to extra fresh veggies from your garden! :highfive:
