The Linnie Palace!

Ok, so it took us some time to clean it and then to move stuff around in the living room just to make room for it but we finally got it up and put some stuff in it last night, including the birds! I still have toys and perches that I want to put in but it's a two person job and Jon flaked out on me toward the end of the evening. I'm pretty happy with it though even though I'm not crazy about the feeders and there is no grate, only two pans. I would have designed a cage much differently had I been the one doing it, but this is the biggest cage I've ever seen for littles and boy were the littles happy once they got their bearings in it. I just love watching them play, they're totally crazy!

Very nice!! Although, I think I'd open up that top area a bit more to allow for easier flight, and put more things a bit lower. It might be cool to get a small java/manzanita type tree in there .. in the center area, or maybe a branch from a bird safe tree.

Yeah, it seems a bit big because I kept all the toys on the top but I just hate poop on toys and these guys poop A LOT! It's almost like the jungle though...the canopy with the toys is at the top and they play up there like you wouldn't believe and they use the bottom half for flying back and forth with. I decided to keep the wooden dowels that came with the cage and utilize them on the bottom half...easy to clean I figure!

It was a custom made cage that Merlie found on CraigsList and promptly thought of me! We went and looked at it and decided we had to have it for the Littles!
