The Caldwell Zoo is a great little zoo. I go about twice a year. If you get a chance to go, I highly recommend it.
This is the first time they have had the Attwater Prairie Chicken's on display. They are endangered and the zoo has a breeding program. I guess these two were on display because the hen was not interested in the male. He has the sweetest little dance in his courtship display.

He was really "booming." That is what they call the mating call. The clicking sound is my camera, not the bird.
