We are bringing home our BH caique tomorrow, and have been stocking up on vegetables / fruits to supplement the pellets. We have read about corn on the cob (cooked?) and are wondering which to get: sweet corn or field corn. I would think sweet corn, but am not certain.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.

I would steam it lightly for your baby. I cut rings about 1/2" thick and steam it and put it on stainless skewer. You can blanch corn on the cob and freeze it.

Do not use field (dent) corn, it is for livestock and probably tastes awful! Buy human grade corn in the store. You don't have to cook it, you can just cut it into wheels and give it right on the cob.
