Super super exciting news?! I THINK YES.

Okay, so. This will probably be my shortest post, like. Ever.

But, I thought I'd share some exciting news with you.

I finally adopted a macaw. After much searching and a very long time of searching. I finally found the right one for me.
His name is Mikey. He's a 14 year old Hahns Macaw. And I must say, I love him.

I've had Mikey now for two weeks, and he's a super special awesome little bundle of joy who talks. A lot.

Sooo... Yeah.

Thanks. His story is sad though.

His owner died, she had raised him from a baby. Her husband couldn't care for him as he had an African Grey and the grey was very jealous of Mikey, so he couldn't keep him... But he's taken to me well and we're best buddies. I think Valentine is jealous, though... Valen's been very aggressive towards me lately.

Haha, thanks everyone. It seems my little Mikey has some internet fame! Yes, he is the same Mikey that was listed on PetFinder, so... some of you seem to already know him!

Yes, he is settling in just fine, I've had him for two weeks as of tomorrow. He's a little doll, I'm so glad I got him.

And thanks, Dotty4. I wanted to check into adopting a macaw first before ever considering going to a breeder. Babies can find a home just fine, it's the older birds that really need it, though.
